Here is a list of questions that we frequently come across when we sell books. If these responses don't answer your question or you'd like to suggest a question or improvement then please get in touch with our customer service team.

Q: How much do you charge for delivery?

A: Delivery is free within the UK mainland, and we have a flat international postage rate. You can find more information regarding shipping here.

Q: Do you offer expedited shipping?

A: Yes, at a charge, find information here.

Q: Can I change my shipping address?

A: Yes you can change your shipping address during the checkout process or from your account dashboard.

Q: Do you provide a tracking number?

A: This service is only available with items ordered by Special Delivery within the UK.

Q: Where is my order?

A: You can check the status of your order in your account dashboard, or get in touch with us for clarification. Expected delivery times are detailed on our shipping information page.

Q: Which payment methods are available?

A: You can pay via PayPal and we accept all major credit and debit cards.

Q: When placing multiple orders are items dispatched together?

A: Whilst we endeavor to dispatch your items together, on occasion we may send items separately.

Q: I have a problem with my order, what should I do?

A: Contact us on sl@worldofbooks.com or telephone 01903 507544 and we will resolve any issues that you may have.

Q: Can I return my order?

A: We are happy to refund an item if it is defective within 30 days of purchase or upon return of the item. If you return an item to us and request a refund due to an error on our part (eg - a defective item) - we are happy to pay for the cheapest form of postage available. If you return an item to us because you made a mistake, World of Books will not pay the return shipping charge. 

Q: What condition can I expect my books to arrive in?

A: All our books are checked for quality prior to dispatch. Although there may be some evidence of past use, overall we strive to offer excellent quality products at a low price.

Q: In what way does World of Books recycle?

A: We are very passionate about recycling here at World of Books. Not only do we recycle 2.3 million books a month, we also recycle waste paper and cans. We save 12,500 metric tonnes a year, which would have been otherwise sitting on a landfill site. We are proud to save these books from landfill; surplus books are used to help good causes such as the British Army, local schools and hospitals. We also export large volumes of books to developing countries to assist in education and enjoyment. Anything that is left is recycled into low grade cardboard and other materials to be re-used.
