Die unterschiedlichsten TV-Formate, Primetime-Sendungen oder Samstagabendshows in der deutschen Fernsehgeschichte sind namlich mehr oder weniger als ein Spiegelbild ihrer (Ausstrahlungs-)Zeit aufzufassen; in ihnen schlagt sich die Erwartungshaltung ihrer Zuschauer:innen bzw. des sich von Generation zu Generation verandernden TV-Publikums nieder, das dem linearen Fernsehen unter anderem zugunsten der Streamingdienste den Rucken kehrt und fur das das (digitale) Fernsehen nicht zum Momentum, sondern zum Skip-Moment wird. English summary: Of the various popular media, television has received relatively little attention in German-language academic discourse. On one hand, this is not surprising, considering the still dominant and misleading distinction between high art (E-Kunst) and popular art (U-Kunst). On the other hand, it may seem surprising for the same reasons. The diverse TV formats, prime-time shows, or Saturday evening programs in the history of German television can be seen as reflections of their (broadcast) time. They reflect the expectations of their viewers and the changing TV audience from generation to generation, an audience that is turning its back on linear television in favor of streaming services, where (digital) television becomes not a moment to be savored, but a moment to skip.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ -","offer_id":51608330273041,"sku":"","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":51608330338577,"sku":"NGR9783847117858","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/3847117858.jpg?v=1764239727"},{"product_id":"zwischen-krieg-und-frieden-book-pawel-meus-9783847118367","title":"Zwischen Krieg Und Frieden","description":"The life and work of Alfred Hein, a writer from Upper Silesia, was shaped by both world wars of the 20th century. This author of poems, novels and short stories, who created during the first four decades of this century, felt the consequences of the First World War he experienced in his youth throughout his life and tried to work out his own idea of peace in literature. The Second World War, however, ended his literary career at an early stage. The first part of this volume presents Hein's life, which took him from Upper Silesia through the western front of the First World War, East Prussia and Halle an der Saale to Berlin, and characterises his literary work. The second part of the volume is devoted to the analysis of spaces of war and peace in selected novels by Hein from the 1920s and 1930s.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":52153422119185,"sku":"NGR9783847118367","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9783847118367.jpg?v=1757620109"},{"product_id":"facetten-der-mystik-book-wolfgang-brylla-9783847117643","title":"Facetten Der Mystik","description":"Celebrated, misunderstood, forgotten? Two names often arise in connection with the controversial term (and problematic field) \"Silesian Mysticism\": Jacob Bohme and Johannes Scheffler. Ruth Storm (1905-1993), a writer from Silesia, also suffered the fate of a displaced person and foreigner, which she tried to overcome in her writing. The narrative form of the remembered and experienced images of homeland reflects on the one hand their reconstructive, realistic character, and on the other hand they characterise a teleological search for a universal, open and everlasting homeland that affirms the subject, especially the female subject, in its autonomy. The analyses and interpretations of selected prose works by Storm are integrated into modern discourses of memory, space and narrativity, which make it possible to shed new light on lost homeland.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":52153980518673,"sku":"NGR9783847113874","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9783847113874.jpg?v=1757623649"},{"product_id":"bertolt-brecht-in-systemkonflikten-book-joachim-lucchesi-9783847114598","title":"Bertolt Brecht in Systemkonflikten","description":"Bertold Brecht is full of contradictions. The cracks, splits, and incompatibilities in his life as well as in his texts call active reading. His consistent denial of logical connections in life, questioning the sustainability of cultures and political systems, and vehement emphasis on the contradiction in people, in social and historical processes, form a point of orientation for a deeper reflection on the meaning of today's theatrical thinker. Given Brecht's difficult reception in many places, arises the question of his afterlife on different continents, social, political, and cultural systems. This encourages a new, transnational reading of Brecht, which, despite globalization and multi- and transculturalism, seems - in many places - to be caught up in old, national patterns of thought.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":52153985171729,"sku":"NGR9783847114598","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9783847114598.jpg?v=1757623714"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/collections\/andersheit-fremdheit-ungleichheit-ser-book-series.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
