Die zahllosen neuen Befunde in Hornhaut, Iris, Linse und Glaskorper, ihre exakte Differenzierbarkeit und die Moglichkeit, sie an groBem Material;relativ rasch zu vergleichen und zu sichten, gewahrleisten einen ungeahnten Einblick in das biologische Geschehen. Diesem Einblick hat del' Verfasser hin und wieder Ausdruck verliehen, in der Erkenntnis, daB nirgends in del' Medizin die korperlichen Lebens- vorgange so unmittelbar und klar zutage liegen, wie im Lichte des Spaltlampen- mikroskops.
