Why have interest rates paid by businesses and households been rising even though deposit rates are nil? Does the policy of bailing out economies bring any dangers? In The Financial System Limit, investment manager David Kauders shows that Keynesian economics has gradually caused the private sector to add to its debts at a true cost far above any inflation. The world cannot afford debts already created. The author challenges the existing academic and political consensus about how economies should be managed. ?Radical thinkers might have a point? was how the Financial Times described David Kauders' first book The Greatest Crash. This new book offers further original thought. Anyone concerned about financial stability and economic growth should read why the fashionable proposals do not work.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ GOOD \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":49613890158865,"sku":"GOR012565772","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/1907230793.jpg?v=1751347316"},{"product_id":"greatest-crash-book-david-kauders-9781907230240","title":"The Greatest Crash","description":"The Greatest Crash argues that the financial system which evolved from the early Italian bankers has now reached a roadblock. But how to escape the mess? Britain should adopt a federal structure with a written constitution and an elected apolitical People's Council replacing autocratic and ineffective bodies. The result of \"Take back control\", \"Get Brexit done\", and \"Change\" 2024: We wanted change, but got new faces peddling the same old, same old... 2026: What we want is better public services, rising living standards (and please fix the potholes). Why do we have to vote for tribes making empty promises, or often, tactically against the worst option? Scotland and Wales are utterly fed up with England. The obvious problem is excessive central control by the London elite. The reasons for failure: a. The governance system that emerged over three centuries ago cannot cope with the complex 21st century, now revealed by Brexit. b. No channels for upward communication, inability to listen to the people. c. Endless campaigns are permitted to let off steam, but are invariably ignored while conditions deteriorate. Example: the suffragettes took a century to gain the vote. d. The entire premise of neoliberalism, which has resulted in people working harder and longer for less reward. How to fix it all? A written constitution for a federal and regional UK: Benefits of a federal UK with regional powers: 1. Power devolved to the lowest level, no more absolute power to force anything through a central parliament. 2. Tax raising and expenditure combined, needs mutual financial support instead of specific funds to buy off the latest complaints (such as the latest pothole fund). 3. People more involved in our democracy, but this requires prohibition of character assassination. 4. People should vote for policies, not images. Needs a law that all communications be “fair, clear, and not misleading”. 5. Reduced patronage, less scope for rip-off financial engineering, policy divergence becomes possible, resulting in a more contented people.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":50478543765777,"sku":"NGR9781907230202","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":51057372889361,"sku":"NIN9781907230202","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ VERY_GOOD \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52397663551761,"sku":"GOR014517116","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/1907230203.jpg?v=1750997013"},{"product_id":"financial-system-limit-book-david-kauders-9781907230264","title":"The Financial System Limit","description":"The policy of bailing out every financial crisis with more credit is damaging society. British investment manager David Kauders FRSA puts forward three radical theories to explain why the global economy is stagnant. Can the world really continue to stimulate its way out of every downturn? What happens to debt as central banks and governments buy prosperity? In The Financial System Limit, the author shows that Keynesian economics can no longer benefit society. He explains why debt cannot expand to infinity; then how debt interest is a cost to us all. The global economic cycle is now determined by central bank policies. David Kauders FRSA is a British investment manager who has been concerned about the hidden social costs of easy money. This is his third book. Read The Financial System Limit to understand why banks keep failing and learn why financial and economic policies have to change.
