The artists’ book »Lago Mio« in the form of a travel brochure shows the reproduction of this series.  The artist interferes in the process of reproduction and thus creates new composi- tions and layouts.  The traces of the remedialization stay visible and reveal the artistic and creative process.  The artistic work exists only as a book and was deliberately created as an »uncomfortable« act: the digital photocopy of analogue pictures, the visible artefacts of this process, the thin printing paper and the simple saddle stitching make it hard for the spectator to gain an over- view of the repetitive series.   The irritation of our conditioned visual perception through this simple shift of viewpoint charges this object with some truly psychedelic energy.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":50127741845777,"sku":"NGR9783945900161","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/3945900166.jpg?v=1751159123"},{"product_id":"ausmalbuch-book-erik-steinbrecher-9783907179062","title":"Ausmalbuch","description":"Erik Steinbrecher can’t stop.  Here's another handy album with new works on paper.  It is called Ausmalbuch (Coloringbook).  In his own way, Steinbrecher roughly arranges montages, collages, silhouettes and fine sketches.  But the title of the book is kidding us.  This coloring book is already colored in and finished.  Let‘s get infected by the artist and just keep on shaping.   Erik Steinbrecher was born in Basel in 1963 and lives in Berlin.  Steinbrecher is known to a wide international audience particularly since his participation in documenta X (1997) as well as further major institutional presentations such as at Kunst-Werke in Berlin, MoMA PS1 in New York, the Kunsthalle Vienna, the Museum Haus Konstruktiv in Zurich or The Weserburg Museum of Modern Art in Bremen. His work as artist has developed in two main directions; the areas of sculpture and architecture as well as the realm of publication. Steinbrecher released numerous books and printed matters, which always expose a strong conceptual idea and function as independent artworks.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ -","offer_id":51552121127185,"sku":"","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":51552121225489,"sku":"NGR9783907179062","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/3907179064.jpg?v=1751253896"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/collections\/author-books-by-erik-steinbrecher.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
