According to the Project Management Institute, over 80 percent of a project manager’s job is communication--yet most project management books hardly discuss it. However, Communications Skills for Project Managers focuses on communication skills such as how to:     keep those on the project team--as well as upper management--involved and informed; establish a plan for communication; effectively present to stakeholders; compete with other initiatives within the organization; convey reasons for change; and more.  Even a project that is brought in on time and on budget can be considered a failure if those outside the project team weren’t kept informed about progress and goals. Communications Skills for Project Managers provides practical advice and strategies for overcoming shifting organizational priorities, constantly evolving expectations, and leadership turnover through the power of clear communication to consistently produce results.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"US \/ WELL_READ \/ SBYB","offer_id":50362473152785,"sku":"CIN0814433065A","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ VERY_GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50927213510929,"sku":"CIN0814433065VG","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":51008377192721,"sku":"NIN9780814433065","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52668241477905,"sku":"NLS9780814433065","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/0814433065.jpg?v=1751396076"},{"product_id":"milton-chronology-book-g-campbell-9780333633267","title":"A Milton Chronology","description":"In this chronology Gordon Campbell brings his unique command of manuscripts associated with John Milton to the first synthesis of the Milton documents attempted in forty years. Many manuscripts that have been lost to view have been rediscovered, and some manuscripts that have never been seen by students of Milton are recorded here for the first time. These new discoveries, together with many unrecorded printed allusions that have never been integrated into biographical studies of Milton, make this chronology an essential research and reference tool that creates a new context for many of Milton's poems and prose writings.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52139413045521,"sku":"NLS9780333633267","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52734984945937,"sku":"NIN9780333633267","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9780333633267.jpg?v=1757568919"},{"product_id":"wine-society-and-globalization-book-g-campbell-9781403984234","title":"Wine, Society, and Globalization","description":"List of Tables and Figures Introduction: The History and Culture of Wine - Gwyn Campbell and Nathalie Guibert 'Vin d'Etat': Consumers, Land, andthe State in California's Napa Valley - Kathleen A. Senior managers speak the language of strategy. Project managers use the language of tasks and activities. While they rely on each other to achieve their goals, this core incompatibility can lead to communication breakdowns and project setbacks. Succeeding with Senior Management explains how to bridge the gap and engage the upper ranks. By establishing relationships early on, understanding executives, and keeping them involved, project managers win the support they need-especially critical when problems arise. This one-of-a-kind communications guide explains how to: Navigate the company's political waters * Link the project to the business * Develop a case for change with an executive sponsor * Use the right listening style * Provide options and recommendations for major decisions * Involve the sponsor in resolving cross-functional problems * And more Many executives will set a project in motion and then move on. Learn how to keep them involved, motivated to push obstacles aside, and focused on a successful conclusion. Your career prospects depend on it.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52587542544657,"sku":"NLS9781400252367","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52748748751121,"sku":"NIN9781400252367","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781400252367.jpg?v=1761056534"},{"product_id":"wine-society-and-globalization-book-g-campbell-9781349539734","title":"Wine, Society, and Globalization","description":"List of Tables and Figures Introduction: The History and Culture of Wine - Gwyn Campbell and Nathalie Guibert 'Vin d'Etat': Consumers, Land, andthe State in California's Napa Valley - Kathleen A. In his Introduction, the author hopes that the number and variety of specimens, including those of lesser-known languages, and the abundant raw material will enable a greater degree of comparison and prove to be beneficial to a philologist.   The selection of words and phrases in this work provide scope to test radical affinities, and tribes can be better classified than done hitherto. Indeed, this was the very objective of the author in undertaking this work.  On the basis of the language and dialect specimens, Campbell has shown that most of the aboriginal tribes of the Central Provinces and from western Bengal are radically associated to the Dravidians. Likewise, a group of languages, quite comparable to each other, that are found in the border areas of eastern Bengal, Assam, Cachar, and the surrounding lower hills, are closely cognate with that of a large number of tribes that have very different names and live under very different conditions. He has shown more such instances.  Spread over eighteen chapters, Campbell has covered the different regions and various tribes, presented the language specimens in tabular format, with the English translation of the word or phrase given alongside, in a column.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":53395652116753,"sku":"NGR9789394262850","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9789394262850.jpg?v=1775821222"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/collections\/author-books-by-g-campbell.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
