Nach wie vor verkorpert aber die modeme Physikalische Chemie molekulare Interpretation und ihre Anwendung auf makroskopisch beobachtbare chemische Vorgange, so daB auf diese auch innerhalb einer angewandten Studienrichtung nicht verzichtet werden kann. Sie steht deshalb auch hier im Mittelpunkt, jedoch in einer sehr elementaren und leicht zuganglichen Prasentation und etwas mehr auf die chemische Anwendung gerichtet. Beide Pramissen ftihren naturgemiill zu einer wesentIich strengeren Auswahl und Illustration des Stoffes, und damit steht dieses Buch im Gegensatz zu den umfangreicheren physikalisch-chemischen Standardlehrbiichem. In diesem Sinne werden die wichtigsten physikalischen Prinzipien in einfacher und konsequenter Weise vorgestellt, dazu ist aber eine gewisse Grundausbildung in chemischen, physikalischen und mathema- tischen Fachem vorausgesetzt. 1st diese Voraussetzung erftillt, so werden auch Studenten der nicht chemischen Facher, wie Medizin, Biologie usw. beim Studium keine Schwierig- keiten haben. Darauf mochte ich hinweisen, weil die Anwendung physikalischer Unter- suchungsmethoden nicht auf die Chemie beschrankt ist. Ein paar Worte zum Aufbau des Buches.
