This story holds a special place in her heart as her granddaughter (2 years at the time of writing the book) was our bunny whisperer as she loved to play with the bunnies that came to her yard to be fed. The author also feels that young children can learn early in life the importance of animals and the environment. The added bonus for the author was discovering artist, John D. Moulton, who is a portraitist. He was able to capture the emotions of the characters in his illustrations. His art in \u003ci\u003e\u003cb\u003eBee, Honey Bunny and Me\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e is reminiscent of Beatrix Potter's art and also love of animals and nature.
