That same day, news of the horrific stabbing death of an eremitic nun leaves the citizens of Hembree in hang-jawed shock. Given that the tumble-down estate belonged to the dead nun's family, Mosey insists there must be a connection between the two events. But Police Chief Gus Olivera, predisposed against Mosey and the Church, scrambles to find a suspect among members of the clergy. Will Olivera solve one on his own? Or will his hopes be dashed when Mosey, once again, drops the clue that points to the killer?","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50297932316945,"sku":"CIN1509245642G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":50989790429457,"sku":"NGR9781509245642","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":51032171282705,"sku":"NIN9781509245642","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52432181002513,"sku":"NLS9781509245642","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/1509245642.jpg?v=1751274482"},{"product_id":"incident-at-sunny-banks-book-kay-pritchett-9781509250394","title":"The Incident at Sunny Banks","description":null,"brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ -","offer_id":51031930831121,"sku":"","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":51031932961041,"sku":"NIN9781509250394","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52668192686353,"sku":"NLS9781509250394","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":53302670885137,"sku":"CIN1509250395G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/1509250395.jpg?v=1751179893"},{"product_id":"four-postmodern-poets-of-spain-book-kay-pritchett-9781557281739","title":"Four Postmodern Poets of Spain","description":"Spain's literary experience throughout the 20th century has equalled the passion and conflict of its political history. The Civil War created in its wake three generations of postwar poets who raised their voices about the closely watched silence of the Franco years. The first and second wave of poets had lived through the war as children or young adults, but the third, born after the war - called also \"novisimos\" (\"very recent ones\") - knew only its aftermath. In \"Four Postmodern Poets of Spain\", Kay Pritchett offers translations of the poetry of Pere Gimferrer, Manual Vazquez Montalban, Guillermo Canero and Antonio Colinas - possibly the best poets of the \"novisimos\". Their work shares a number of qualities that distinguish it from the verse written by the neorealist, politically committed poets of the 1940s and 1950s. Pritchett's general introduction addresses the critical polemic that has formed our understanding of the \"novisimos\". The work of each poet is prefaced by a discussion that places him in his political, regional and artistic context.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ -","offer_id":51323298283793,"sku":"","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ VERY_GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":51323300708625,"sku":"CIN1557281734VG","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/1557281734.jpg?v=1750861990"},{"product_id":"dark-assemblages-book-kay-pritchett-9781611486728","title":"Dark Assemblages","description":"In Dark Assemblages, Kay Pritchett, after surveying the novelistic production of celebrated Neo-Gothic writer Pilar Pedraza (1951-), focuses on the relevance of the Spanish author's fiction to contemporary social concerns. Pedraza's Gothic stories of development reveal the power of conventional representations (fixed images) to undermine personal growth, bringing identity into line, rather, with the objectives of oppressive social structures (dark assemblages).","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52134594019601,"sku":"NLS9781611486728","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781611486728.jpg?v=1757543808"},{"product_id":"in-pursuit-of-poem-shadows-book-kay-pritchett-9781611480160","title":"In Pursuit of Poem Shadows","description":"Born in the small Extremaduran town of Moraleja in 1946, Spanish poet Pureza Canelo, at the age of twenty-five, published her first collections of poetry, Celda verde and Lugar com n (winner of the 1970 Adonais Prize). By 1979, she had settled upon an understanding of her own aesthetic evolution, which she elaborated in Habitable (Primera po tica). Then, in 1986, after a period of disenchantment with the written word during which she published only two chapbooks-Espacio de emoci n (1981) and Vega de la paloma (1984)-she redefined her position in Tendido verso (Segunda po tica). Designed to complement Nature's Colloquy with the Word: Pureza Canelo's First Poetics (Bucknell, 2004), the current text deciphers the intricate poetic language of the poet's mature works, which, at the time of writing, included the two above-mentioned chapbooks as well as Tendido verso, Pasi n in dita (1990), and No escribir (1999). The author traces recurrent aesthetic and philosophical positions that serve to differentiate the poet's first and second poetics. Tendido verso is the volume in which temporality supersedes essence and, in so doing, breaks with insights expressed by Juan Ram n Jim nez during his Modernist phase. In Pasi n in dita the intimate pronominal discourse between poet and creative other allows them to coalesce into an indeterminate being. At this point the desired goal of the creative process is achieved; the holy wedding (hieros gamos) of poet and creative other occurs. No escribir abandons the struggle of Canelo's previous books and carries out the method prescribed by her second poetics. She recognizes that only the creative process can satisfy her desire, and that love, the dominant symbol for creation, indeed, allows the pain of poetic failure to cease. Passion, nonetheless, must stop short of fulfillment, since the written poem, laden with the poet's gaze and subjectivity, cannot exist apart from its shadow.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52453294244113,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52453294670097,"sku":"NLS9781611480160","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781611480160.jpg?v=1759367450"},{"product_id":"murder-at-red-oaks-book-kay-pritchett-9781509262847","title":"The Murder at Red Oaks","description":null,"brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52589572948241,"sku":"NLS9781509262847","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52725074166033,"sku":"NIN9781509262847","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781509262847.jpg?v=1761060331"},{"product_id":"house-with-a-secret-cellar-book-kay-pritchett-9781509260089","title":"The House with a Secret Cellar","description":null,"brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52668137406737,"sku":"NLS9781509260089","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52748332663057,"sku":"NIN9781509260089","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781509260089.jpg?v=1762340569"},{"product_id":"murder-at-the-old-schoolhouse-book-kay-pritchett-9781509265619","title":"Murder at the Old Schoolhouse","description":null,"brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":53649846567185,"sku":"NLS9781509265619","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":53656899780881,"sku":"NIN9781509265619","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781509265619.jpg?v=1781171825"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/collections\/author-books-by-kay-pritchett.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
