She moved to Canada with her family as a teenager, and received her BA in Languages and Literature from the University of Victoria. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e She has lived and travelled in Europe, where she is continuously inspired by the lifestyle and beautiful surroundings. She speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e Sylvia took her talents to the Fairmont Empress Hotel where she was in Guest Services for a number of years. In 1991, she married Roscoe Main, and the couple opened Fairholme Manor in Victoria's Rockland Estates area in 1999.
