As we endeavor to improve pro- duction processes and to develop more effective and acceptable tactics for achieving this protection, we must give high priority to all potentially useful techniques for the control and management of insects. Pest control is recognized as an acceptable and necessary part of modern agriculture. Methods employed vary greatly and tend to reflect compromises involving 3 determining factors: technological capability, economic feasibility, and social acceptability. How- ever, these factors are also subject to change with time since each involves value judgments that are based on available information, cost, benefit considerations, the seriousness of the pest problem, and the political climate. Whatever method is chosen, energy resources continue to dwindle under the impact of increasing popu- lation, and it is inevitable that greater reliance must be placed upon renewable resources in pest management. One alternative is the use of a pest management method that uses the energy of the pest's own biomass to fuel a self-perpetuating control system. The use of biological control agents for the control of pests has long been an integral part of the pest management strategy in crop production and forestry and in the protection of man and animals. The importance and unique advantages of the method are well recognized; numerous treatises deal with accomplishments and methodologies.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50346751754513,"sku":"CIN0306363119G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/0306363119.jpg?v=1786109610"},{"product_id":"global-energy-strategies-book-james-c-white-9781489912589","title":"Global Energy Strategies","description":"The world is getting warmer. Among scientists concerned with global climate change this is the broad consensus. How fast and by how much, are questions which cannot be answered quantitatively, but the probability of rising temperatures must be faced in a prudent manner - there is enough certainty of change so that we must anticipate and prepare before irreparable damage is done to our world. Even if it isn't going to be as bad as some people think, the actions we propose will benefit the earth and give us a kind of insurance. The root of the change is population growth, and its attendant demand for energy. While the developed world expects to hold future emissions relatively steady, the developing countries, where population growth is most rampant, will expand the use of energy as they aspire to a better quality of life. H greater energy use is inevitable it behooves us to produce that energy in the least objectionable manner, and to produce it where the cost is lowest in dollars, GNP, and environmental change.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52089028673809,"sku":"NLS9781489912589","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781489912589.jpg?v=1791929414"},{"product_id":"perceiving-environmental-quality-book-kenneth-craik-9781468428674","title":"Perceiving Environmental Quality","description":"The purpose of this publication is to report on a series of research workshops which examined the place of environmental perception in a comprehensive system of indices for assessing and monitoring trends in environmental quality. The specific objectives of the workshops were to: (1) define the state-of-the-art in research on perception of environmental quality and identify salient conceptual and methodological issues; (2) delineate potential uses of perceived environmental quality indices (PEQIs) and related issues regarding ways in which PEQIs might enhance implementation, revision, or refinement of policy orientations; (3) identify the types of research which would assess adequately the efficacy of the development and the application of PEQIs; and (4) out line a realistic, pragmatic research strategy that relates to potential uses and identified policy issues. The workshops were supported by 'a grant from the National Science Foundation, No. GSOC75-0782, and were held during the spring and summer of 1975 in Amherst, Massachusetts, and New York City. Contributed chapters for this volume were commissioned with funds from the Institute for Man and Environment, University of Massachusetts. Scientific contributors to the understanding of environmental per ception have increased substantially over the last decade, along with recognition that this realm of knowledge is crucial for an informed perspective on-the impact of man on the environment. At the same time, there exists general consensus that the field remains diffuse and uncoor dinated (Lowenthal, 1972b).","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52126793564433,"sku":"NLS9781468428674","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468428674.jpg?v=1791908134"},{"product_id":"in-situ-evaluation-of-biological-hazards-of-environmental-pollutants-book-shabeg-s-sandhu-9781468458107","title":"In Situ Evaluation of Biological Hazards of Environmental Pollutants","description":"The study of the relationship between environmental pollution and human health is in its infancy. The number of substances and mixtures that have been identified in uncontrolled hazardous waste sites or that have been in- advertently released into the environment is large and data on how thes substances are modified as they interact with one another as they migrate through soil, air, and water are limited. There are also limits on our un- derstanding of how these substances may be ingested, inhaled, or absorbed by people. The complexity of possible interactions between biological, chemical, and physical components in a given environment makes it virtually impossible to evaluate the potential for adverse biological effects ade- quately in the laboratory. Other, more comprehensive methods which provide realistic and interpretable results must be used. Many scientists believe that humans represent the ultimate sentinel species of a toxic exposure re- sUlting from environmental pollution, however such exposures may also se- verely impact environmental health. There exists a wide variety of organ- isms in the natural environment that could be used to provide an early warning for potential human health effects as well as to indicate adverse ecological effects. The issue of effective utilization of sentinel species for environment- al monitoring is a rapidly developing area of research which has grown in importance during the last decade.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52127218434321,"sku":"NLS9781468458107","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468458107.jpg?v=1789042076"},{"product_id":"utilization-of-mammalian-specific-locus-studies-in-hazard-evaluation-and-estimat-book-fj-de-serres-9781461337416","title":"Utilization of Mammalian Specific Locus Studies in Hazard Evaluation and Estimation of Genetic Risk","description":"The magnitude of the threat to the human genetic material posed by environmental agents has not as yet been fully determined. Never- theless, the potential hazards of many chemicals have been identi- fied by studies on lower organisms. However, too little is known regarding the comparability or lack of it between the metabolic pathways available in such organisms and those in man. Although at present there is great public concern for what is considered by some as the excessive use of laboratory animals in toxicological testing, it seems clear that the usage of mammalian systems may be deemed necessary. It has been proposed that cell culture systems might suffice to meet this need, however, such approaches cannot match the complexity of physiological occurances that are present in the intact animal. For studies of genetic effects, some non-invasive human test systems are presently available. These do not, however, meet the re- quirements for extensive laboratory studies. In order to assess the risks to humans of environmental factors such laboratory investiga- tions are essential. Therefore, for the forseeable future reliance on experiments using laboratory animals will be necessary. This Volume, which contains the proceedings of a workshop which was held at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, March 29-31, 1982, explores the existing methodologies and their utility for risk estimations. It covers the most well developed human systems, as well as the most widely used animal tests.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52128473284881,"sku":"NLS9781461337416","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781461337416.jpg?v=1785969724"},{"product_id":"biomonitors-and-biomarkers-as-indicators-of-environmental-change-book-frank-m-butterworth-9780306451904","title":"Biomonitors and Biomarkers as Indicators of Environmental Change","description":"Proceedings of the 37th Conference of the International Association for Great Lakes Research held in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, June 5-9, 1994","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52128622182673,"sku":"NLS9780306451904","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9780306451904.jpg?v=1791996148"},{"product_id":"perchlorate-in-the-environment-book-edward-todd-urbansky-9780306463891","title":"Perchlorate in the Environment","description":"This work addresses perchlorate as a potable water contaminant. However, some of them have found their way into the biosphere and have been classi- fied as persistent toxic chemicals. This has resulted in serious concern about environmental contamination. Since we are going to continue using chemicals, we should learn more about such aspects as their transport in the environment, the relationship of their physical-chemical properties to transport, their persistence in the biosphere, their partitioning in the biota, and toxicological and epidemiological forecasting based on physical-chemical properties. Environmental chemodynamics is the name given to a subject which deals with some of the above topics, utilizing the principles of such disciplines as chemistry, physics, systems analysis, modelling, engineering, and medical and biological sciences. To ensure the safety of the environment, we must know more about the chemodynamical behavior of pesticides and related chemi- cals. As a result, very interest- ing methods were developed to measure these airborne agents, espe- cially bacteria, and some important methods were refined for their control. These methods primarily concentrated on ultraviolet radia- tion, propylene glycol and other means to reduce the dust in an en- vironment. Because of the specialized circumstances at that time the whole consideration of airborne particles became prominent. They are known to be distributed as contaminants of commercial products and as by-products from com- bustion processes. A considerable volume of information has accumulated on these chemicals in the past two decades, particularly for the most toxic of them, 2,3,7,8-tetrach1orodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,3,7,8-TCD). However, this body of knowledge has not succeeded in resolving genuine judgmental differences among experts in the field as to the degree of hazard to human health and the environment. In light of the widespread public concern, it is clearly imperative to come to grips with the continuing scientific controversy, to review the data, assess the issues, to see where areas of agreement exist, and where further research is needed to resolve remaining areas of disagree- ment. Although they are used mainly for preservation and treatment of wood, their antimicrobial, antifungal, herbicidal, insecticidal and molluscicidal properties led to a widespread application of PCP formulations. Bevenue and Beckman reviewed the literature up to 1967 on the chemistry, toxicology and environmental residues of PCP (Residue Rev. , 19: 83- 134, 1967). Significant advances in analytical methodology, recurrent incidents of mortalities of non-target organisms exposed to PCP, regulatory actions pertaining to PCP usage in countries such as Japan and Sweden, and detection of the ubiquitous distribution of PCP in the environment, added to the wealth of recent literature on pentachlorophenol. In spite of the usage of PCP as an antimicrobial agent in drilling and packer fluids during oil-drilling operations in the marine environment, little is known of the toxicity of PCP to marine and estuarine organisms. The purpose of this volume is to present up-to-date information (including a number of new studies on marine and estuarine organisms) on the chemistry, pharmacology and environmental toxicology of pentachlorophenol. This volume is a collection of papers presented at an international symposium sponsored by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and The University of West Florida, held at Pensacola Beach, Florida, June 27-29,1977. Sufficiently diagnostic short-term assay procedures have been developed in recent years for us to determine that there are mutagenic agents among thou- sands of chemicals to which the human population is exposed today. These chemicals were not significantly present prior to the indus- trial revolution. As of today, there are no procedures available which have been adequately demonstrated to assess individual sus- ceptibility to genotoxic exposures, and as a result we have had to rely on extrapolating toxicological data from animal model systems. The question is can we afford to allow such an increased environ- mental selection pressure via mutagenic exposures to occur without expecting adverse long-term effects on our health. It is apparent from this line of reasoning that what is lacking and immediately needed are test procedures that can be applied to humans to assess genotoxic exposure as well as individual susceptibility to it. There have already been two conferences which have focused at- tention on this research area. Guidelines for studies of human populations exposed to mutagenic and reproductive hazards (A. D. Techniques for measuring are considered very necessary but the development of them is usual- ly left to someone else. Therefore it is a little unusual for the department to sponsor a conference which is devoted mostly to methodology. Environmental Pollution is a very popular topic now, and one notices that there are a number of scientific conferences devoted to the topic. Furthermore, part of every conference is devoted to measurements of pollutants. So the question becomes one of what should be different about our conference. To start with there are two unique features here: The first is the limited attendance which should provide more meaningful discussion; the second is the availability to the world of all the information in book form after the conference. We gave considerable thought to the contents of the conference which would take advantage of the unique features. Therefore, we decided to look to the future and present material here that is not in routine use. The search for pollutants has just begun, and their presence cannot be established without some means of detection. Many substances are not known to be toxic be- cause no one has studied them. The necessary information can only be obtained if techniques for detection and measurement are avail- able.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52144357245201,"sku":"NLS9781461340355","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781461340355.jpg?v=1791949113"},{"product_id":"environmental-radon-book-crichard-cothern-9780306427077","title":"Environmental Radon","description":"This volume is intended for the professional who is a newcomer to the area of environmental radon.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52148380958993,"sku":"NLS9780306427077","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9780306427077.jpg?v=1757603425"},{"product_id":"chemistry-for-the-protection-of-the-environment-4-book-robert-mournighan-9780387230207","title":"Chemistry for the Protection of the Environment 4","description":"Includes proceedings that provide a forum for chemical scientists and engineers dedicated to making a cleaner, healthier world for everyone.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52150767124753,"sku":"NLS9780387230207","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9780387230207.jpg?v=1789045505"},{"product_id":"primary-productivity-and-biogeochemical-cycles-in-the-sea-book-paul-g-falkowski-9780306441929","title":"Primary Productivity and Biogeochemical Cycles in the Sea","description":"Biological processes in the oceans play a crucial role in regulating the fluxes of many important elements such as carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, oxygen, phosphorus, and silicon. These bioassays were developed and validated with individual compounds, and their principal application was perceived to be in evaluating the health hazard of such materials. However, man is rarely exposed to single chemicals; his exposure to hazardous chemicals is more commonly a multifactorial phenomenon. Although chemical analysis can be used to detect known hazardous compounds, it would be a staggering and expensive task to analyze large numbers of samples for all known or suspected hazardous constituents. Furthermore, the biological activity of a complex mixture cannot be reliably predicted from knowledge of its components. On the other hand, bioassays alone cannot tell us which components of complex mixtures are responsible for the biological activity detected. Thus, cost effectiveness and technical feasibility dictate stepwise and perhaps iterative application -of both chemical and biological methods in evaluating the health effects of complex environmental mixtures. Through the coupling of reliable biological detection systems with methods of chemical fractionation and analysis, it is frequently possible to isolate the individual chemical species that show biological activity. Initially, complex mixtures may be separated and bioassayed in carefully defined chemical fractions. The results of such short-term screening bioassays then may be used td guide the course of further fractionation and to determine the need for more stringent and comprehensive biological testing.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52407661592849,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52407662313745,"sku":"NLS9781468441239","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468441239.jpg?v=1786442009"},{"product_id":"environmental-education-book-trilochan-s-bakshi-9781468437157","title":"Environmental Education","description":"The environmental movement of the 1960s made educationists in some parts of the world aware of the significance and importance of ecology in curricula at all levels of education, from kindergarten to post-secondary. A great deal of progress was made in the early 1970s in incorporating environmental awareness programs into educa- tional systems go that what was once considered a fad was gradually becoming a part of formal education in a number of institutions, especially in Canada and the U.S.A. It was therefore appropriate that an international scientific body devote some time to the issue of ecology in education. Early in 1976, I suggested to the International Association for Ecology (Inteco1) that a symposium on Environmental Education be included in the program of the Second International Congress of Ecology scheduled to be held in Jerusalem in September 1978. In the first draft program of the Congress, the topic was included as a poster session. I considered this inadequate and appealed to the Congress Steering Committee to focus greater attention on environ- mental education. The first draft program contained phrases like utilization of resources, conservation problems, environmental moni toring, and irreversible changes. These phrases more or less assumed that people in general understood ecological principles. Literature on environmental education seems to suggest that a wide gap separated most of the professional ecologists from a large portion of mankind primarily because we the ecologists have paid scant attention to the ecological education of world's citizens.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52408182538513,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52408183128337,"sku":"NLS9781468437157","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468437157.jpg?v=1758774262"},{"product_id":"environmental-radon-book-crichard-cothern-9781489904751","title":"Environmental Radon","description":"This volume is intended for the professional who is a newcomer to the area of environmental radon. In setting up the scientific program for this symposium, the scientific organizers were mindful of a very successful NATO Advanced Study Institute at Cambridge (UK) in August, 1978, at which recent advances in globular cluster studies were thoroughly reviewed. So the emphasis at this symposium was on open clusters and problems common to open and globular clusters. One day only was scheduled exclusively for globular clusters, and the topics chosen for that day are ones in which rapid progress is being made. However, in recent years man has become ever more conscious of the way in which his environment is becoming increasingly polluted by chemicals that may harm plants, animals or even himself. Amongst these chemicals the organochlorine insecticides have been well to the fore as a major cause of anxiety to ecologists, not only because they persist so long, but also because of the readiness with which they are taken up into the bodies of living organisms, especially the fatty tissues of both animals and humans. The extent and seriousness of the potential hazards due to these chemicals still remains to be fully defined. Our information on the occur rence of residues in the various parts of the environment is very uneven and localized. For instance, whereas we have a great deal of data on residues in North America, we know virtually nothing about the extent of pesticide contamination in Africa, South America and much of Asia, although large amounts of organochlorine insecticides have been used in these areas.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52426682073361,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52426682761489,"sku":"NLS9781461589440","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781461589440.jpg?v=1791885853"},{"product_id":"global-atmospheric-biospheric-chemistry-book-ronald-g-prinn-9781461360759","title":"Global Atmospheric-Biospheric Chemistry","description":"This volume contains the invited papers and a transcript of the final panel discussion in the First Scientific Conference of the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (lGAC) Project, held in Eilat, Israel from April 18-22, 1993. The conference was hosted by the Israeli Institute for Biological Research (IBR) and was the 37th in the prestigious OHOLO Conference series in Israel. The conference was devoted to the subject of Global Atmospheric-Biospheric Chemistry and was a landmark event in this area. It provided the first comprehensive report of progress under IGAC toward improving our understanding of the chemical and biological processes that determine the changing composition of the earth's atmosphere. This work is an essential component of the comprehensive International Geosphere- Biosphere Program (lGBP) devoted to measuring and understanding global changes in the past and present, and predicting the future evolution of our planet. I want to devote this brief foreword to thanking several people who worked especially hard to make the conference a success and who helped to produce this volume as a record of the event. Paul Crutzen, Amram Golombek, Pamela Matson and Henning Rodhe did sterling service on the conference organizing committee. Still, we have no universally recognized methods for combining our quantitative measures with our qualitative concepts of environ- ment. Not all of our environmental goals should be reduced to mere numbers, but many of them can be; and without these quantitative terms, we have no way of defining our present position nor of selecting positions we wish to attain on any logically established scale of environmen tal values. Stated simply, in our zeal to measure our environment we often forget that masses of numbers describing a system are insufficient to understand it or to be used in selecting goals and priorities for expending our economic and human resources. Attempts at quantitatively describing environmental quality, rather than merely measuring different environmental variables, are relatively recent. This condensing of data into the optimum number of terms with maximum information content is a truly interdisciplinary challenge. When Oak Ridge National Laboratory initiated its Environmental Program in early 1970 under a grant from the National Science Foundation, the usefulness of environmental indicators in assessing the effects of technology was included as one of the initial areas for investigation. James L. Liverman, through his encouragement and firm belief that these indicators are indispensable if we are to resolve our complex environmental problems, deserves much of the credit for the publication of this book.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52427000185105,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52427000906001,"sku":"NLS9781468428582","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468428582.jpg?v=1791966171"},{"product_id":"primary-productivity-in-the-sea-book-paul-falkowski-9781468438925","title":"Primary Productivity in the Sea","description":"Traditionally studies of aquatic primary productivity have heen conducted hy workers in two major schools: experimental laboratory biology, and empirical field ecology. This symposium was sponsored by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Energy Minerals and Industry, Washington, DC, and Office of Health and Ecological Effects, Health Effects Re- search Laboratory, Biochemistry Branch, Research Triangle Park, NC. The symposium consisted of 24 formal presentations that amplify the three major topics discussed during the symposium: an overview of short-term bioassay systems; current methodology involving the collection and chemical analysis of environmental samples; and current research in- volving the use of short-term bioassays in the fractionation and analysis of complex environmental mixtures. The purpose of this symposium was to present the state-of-the-art tech- niques in bioassay and chemical analysis as applied to com- plex mixtures and to foster continued advancement of this important area. Complex mixtures discussed include ambient air and water, waste water, drinking water, shale oil, syn- thetic fuels, automobile exhaust, diesel particulate, coal fly ash, cigarette smoke condensates, and food products. It is our hope that this volume will serve as a refer- ence to catalyze and encourage further research in this field. Michael D. Waters, Ph. D. Stephen Nesnow, Ph. Scientific articles about acid rain initially appeared in 1972. The public turned its attention to the issue in the mid-1970s. In April 1979, the first acid rain bill was introduced in the Senate, authored by New York's Senator Daniel P. Moynihan. The bill sought to establish a federal research program dedicated to filling the gaps in understanding of the phenomena of long-range transport of air pollutants and their environmental, health and economic impacts. 'The bill was passed into law in 1980. Since then, tens of bills have been proposed to control emissions of S02 and NO , x thought to be the precursors of acid rain. And yet, in contrast with the pattern set by the majority of environmental issues, where legislation followed very quickly on the heels of public anxiety and involvement, by July 1985 not a single federal acid rain control bill had been passed.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52427808112913,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52427808571665,"sku":"NLS9781461583554","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781461583554.jpg?v=1785982007"},{"product_id":"secondary-metabolite-biosynthesis-and-metabolism-book-richard-j-petroski-9781461363125","title":"Secondary-Metabolite Biosynthesis and Metabolism","description":"This book was developed from the proceedings of the American Chemical Society, Division of Agricultural \u0026amp; Food Chemistry, subdivision of Natural Products Symposium \"Biosynthesis and Metabolism of Secondary Natural Products\" held in Atlanta, Georgia, April 1991. The importance and unique advantages of the method are well recognized; numerous treatises deal with accomplishments and methodologies.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52429175718161,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52429176439057,"sku":"NLS9781468428735","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9781468428735.jpg?v=1786441501"},{"product_id":"pollution-book-es-barrekette-9780306363023","title":"Pollution","description":"The rapid deterioration of the environment in many countries around the world, or of segments and aspects of the environment in specific locations, made it necessary that immediate - even if only short term - solutions be found to as many of these problems as possible.
