Sarah Hashmi is an art school graduate from Pakistan and a mother of (almost) two living in Canada. The idea for this book arose when she started reading books to her firstborn and found a lack of quality Urdu books for children. As a Pakistani parent living in an English-speaking country, she knew it was important that her children learn to connect with their Pakistani/Urdu speaking heritage at a young age. So, using her background in the fine arts and passion for the Urdu language, she meticulously crafted this children's book.
In each verse of this fun little book, kids will have an enjoyable and challenging time discovering different words that all start with the same Urdu letter, building their vocabulary and comfort with Urdu. Words have been carefully chosen from everyday life to keep the young ones intrigued and entertained while engaging in a learning experience.
