Hansen, Craig: - Craig Hansen is a first-time children's book writer. He attended Colorado State University and received a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. After 13 years working at large ad agencies and small boutique design firms in London, Denver and Chicago, he founded a small design studio called Principle in 2014. With a strong focus on typography, design systems, and contemporary visual culture, he strives to create work that engages, entertains, and communicates effectively. This story is very loosely based on the life and times of his sassy and adventurous Panamanian street dog-the real Lucy. It has been a labor of love for him to write and illustrate a deeply personal book that he hopes will elucidate the idea of immigration and soften hearts and minds. Life is better with diversity.
