Anthony Grayling teaches philosophy at Birkbeck College, London and is a Fellow of St Anne's, Oxford. He has a regular column in The Times and Prospect. Arthur Schopenhauer was the first European philosopher to realise the value of Eastern philosophy and give it pride of place in his writings.
