Audition Psych 101 by Michael Kostroff

Michael Kostroff is most recognized for his work on The Wire, The Deuce, Luke Cage, The Blacklist, Law & Order: SVU, and other TV shows, as well as HBO Films' Wizard of Lies starring Robert De Niro and the HBO miniseries The Plot Against America. National tours of The Producers and Les Miserables have been among his theater credits. He's the author of Letters from Backstage, a behind-the-scenes look at his time on the road with the aforementioned musicals, and the co-author of Answers from The Working Actor, a textbook based on the advice column Kostroff wrote for the actors' weekly, Backstage (alternating with co-author Jackie Apodaca). The Weekly Curmudgeon, his blog, is becoming increasingly popular among those who appreciate such things. He's now working on The Stage Actor's Guide, his next book.

Kostroff also works as a director, acting coach, and instructor, traveling all over the country to teach his Audition Psych 101 workshop and other seminars. He works and lives in New York City, where he was born.
