Badley, Ruth: - Ruth Badley graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1978 and taught in secondary schools in London before moving to South Australia, where she worked in adult migrant education, specifically with Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees. Later she pursued a successful second career as a journalist and was the features writer for a UK regional newspaper group for many years. Ruth wrote and directed Just Playing for Dubai's Short and Sweet Theatre Festival in 2016. Where are the grown-ups? is her first novel. She has two adult sons and lives in rural Essex with her husband, Tim.
