Gareth Brookes attended the Royal College of Art, where he studied printmaking. A Thousand Colored Castles (2017) and The Black Project, which was nominated for an award at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2018, are two of his graphic novels. His art has appeared in ArtReview, has been published by Kus, and was featured in the British Library's Comics Unmasked exhibition in 2014. He currently resides in the United Kingdom.
