Stephen Snyder was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Idaho. He graduated from the University of Florida and went on to the San Francisco Art School to study filmmaking. He is the author of Pier Paolo Pasolini and has a long list of journal publications. Dr. Snyder is currently the University of Manitoba's Professor of Cinema and Literary Studies.
