Angus's mother is a famous actress and is out all day playing a busy mother in a TV soap. Meanwhile, eleven year old Angus stays home to look after his little brother and sister. He can't tell anyone because his Mum might lose her job, and anyway they'd laugh at him. When his Mum embarks on a new relationship, Angus fears the next baby is imminent and is determined to prevent her from getting pregnant again! When he meets Rindi, who is unhappily commited to an arranged marriage, they conspireto solve their problems all in one go.

Morris Gleitzman started work in television and worked as a screenwriter and newspaper columnist before he started to write children's books. His play, TWO WEEKS WITH THE QUEEN, was produced at the National Theatre.
Morris lives in Australia.
