Poet and former teacher with 30 years experience in language workshops of all sorts, Liz Niven is currently part-time Cultural Co-ordinator for Creative Writing in D&G schools. Her previous posts include: Scots Language Development Officer 1992-1996. Writer-in-Residence Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association 1998-2000. SAC Writers Bursary 1996. Year of the Artist 2000. She writes in Scots and English and has also published a wide range of educational materials for Scots language including commissions for Channel 4, SCCC (now Learning and Teaching Scotland).
