Butternut Hollow Pond by Brian Heinz

Each time you crack the spine of this book you are drawing back the curtain to look into the most intimate and vulnerable parts of my humanity and I am certain that you will see the stains that grace has left upon them. Between these pages you will read of a Deity with dirty hands and tattooed arms and of a girl who can't help but be in awe of Him. I hope that you will find pieces of your own story glued into the mosaic of my own. I wish for you to be encouraged both by the truth that you are not the only one who experiences brokenness and by the bigger truth that God is madly in love with all that you are.
Brian Heinz is the critically acclaimed author of 15 books for young readers and is sought after as a speaker on the craft of writing. He and his wife Judy split their time between homes in New York's Wading River and the Adirondacks.

With his background in field and laboratory work as a natural science illustrator, Michael Rothman has distinguished himself as a sought-after artist of flora and fauna the world over. He has contributed illustrations to publications such as Scientific American and the New York Times' science section, as well as pieces for children's trade picture books. He lives in Connecticut.
