Harold Pinter (1930-2008) was one of the most well-known playwrights of the twentieth century. He received numerous awards, including the Nobel Prize in Literary, the David Cohen British Literature Prize for a lifetime's achievement in writing, and the Laurence Olivier Award for a lifetime's achievement in theatre. The Birthday Party, The Caretaker, The Homecoming, No Man's Land, and Betrayal are among his best-known plays.
