Chloe's People by Mary Street

Chloe had no knowledge of her family, so when she was accosted by the handsome Sir Marcus Redgrave, who mistook her for a lady named Isabella, she wanted to know more. Soon afterwards, the widowed Lady Pascall invited her to live in Bath as her paid companion. Chloe soon learnt that Sir Marcus and Lady Pascall had a scheme to outwit an unscrupulous man called Bellamy, who Lady Pascall believed had murdered her son and his wife. Chloe suspected she was part of their machinations and that her likeness to the unknown Isabella had something to do with it. Another problem for Chloe was how to stop herself falling in love with Marcus. Matters were becoming very complicated indeed!
Mary Street was born in Heanor, Derbyshire. Her interest in writing began whilst in hospital following a road traffic accident. She has written several novels all of which have been published by Robert Hale including her previous title Wyndham's Bride.
