Coming Through the Flames by Linda Cotter Lucas

Chris Edwards, a retired FDNY firefighter and first responder recounts the tragedies that he faced throughout his career in the F.D.N.Y. This book is a candid history that allows the reader to experience what it's like to be part of the FDNY. The author recalls his experiences that led up to 9/11 and the spiritual journey that followed. This book is a memoir dedicated to his children.
Chris Edwards is a retired NYC firefighter with the FDNY. He served with the FDNY for 17 years. He was a member of E42 and E81 in the Bronx, NY. Chris Edwards was also a first responder during the tragedies that surrounded the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Edwards currently serves as a member of DART team, Disaster Assistance Response Team who deploys during disasters to assist individuals, families and communities during a disaster. Edwards is also a big proponent of giving back to all who helped during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. His new book Coming Through the Flames is a memoir dedicated to his children, some of whom did not get to see their dad as a fireman since he retired before their birth. Edwards currently lives in Orange County, NY with his family.
