Cooking the Russian Way by Helga Hughes

Upon the death of her father, Kelly Rhyman, learns, through the family lawyers, that she has, along with the family fortunes, inherited the deed to a Southern Plantation. Little does she suspect that for some people the Civil War isn't over Rather than sell the mansion, she falls in love with it. She decides to restore the old plantation. This precipitates dangers of life and death, intrigue and even terrifying encounters with ghostly apparitions. The sparks also fly when she falls in love with the son of Colonel Claibourne, former owner of the estate. It is the Civil War all over again between Kelly, a rich little Yankee, and Lucas Claibourne, a southern Cavalry officer.
