HAROLD SHERMAN (1898-1987) was an ESP investigator and a lifelong student of the mysteries of the mind. He was a prolific author of self-help books, many of which were best-sellers. Sherman's wife, Martha, avidly shared her husband's interests. Most of his books were first dictated to her, and together they would discuss and revise them before publication. Their last book, The Dead Are Alive!, was published in 1981.
