Eric R. Kandel, the winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his foundational research into memory storage in the brain, is one of the pioneers of modern brain science. Larry R. Squire ist Professor fur Psychiatrie, Neurowissenschaften und Psychologie an der University of California School of Medicine in San Diego und Forschungsmitglied am Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Diego. Er war Prasident der amerikanischen Society for Neuroscience und gehort der National Academy of Sciences an. Er hat das Buch Memory and Brain geschrieben und ist Mitherausgeber des Standardwerkes Fundamental Neuroscience. Eric R. Kandel hat das Center for Neurobiology and Behavior an der Columbia University in New York gegrundet, wo er derzeit Professor und Forschungsleiter am Howard Hughes Medical Institute ist. Er war Prasident der amerikanischen Society for Neuroscience und gehort der National Academy of Sciences an.
