A Dream to Share by Irene Hannon

Emma, a young maid in Edwardian Chester, is desperate to avenge the death of her sister Aggie, who committed suicide after falling pregnant and being abandoned. A chance meeting with another young servant, Alice, introduces Emma to the household of Victoria Waters. As Emma and Alice become closer, Emma learns of Alice's destructive and deranged ex-fiance Bert, and it becomes apparent that the girls may be linked in more ways than one.
