Anthony Murphy is a journalist, author, photographer, film maker and tour guide from Drogheda, close to the Boyne Valley monuments, who has been studying, photographing and writing about the ancient land- scape for the past 20 years. He is the author of three nonfiction books, including Island of the Setting Sun: In Search of Ireland's Ancient Astronomers (with Richard Moore), Newgrange: Monument to Immortality and Mythical Ireland: New Light on the Ancient Past. He lives in Drogheda with his wife Ann and their five children.
