Ladd, Alan: -
Alan Ladd (1913-1964) was an award-winning American actor and film and television producer. He found cinematic success in the 1940s and 1950s, particularly in Westerns and film noir. He is especially known for his role in the movie Shane. His awards include a Picturegoer Award for Best Actor in 1947 for the movie This Gun for Hire, and in 1953 he was named Most Popular Male Star by Photoplay magazine. He contributed as an actor or producer in more than a hundred films and television shows over the course of his career.
