Easter by Lois Rock

Here is the story at the heart of Easter - the story of Jesus' death and resurrection and the joyful message that his disciples began to spread to all the world. Lois Rock has adapted her text from The Lion Bible: Everlasting Stories to suit this stylish picture book. Praise for The Lion Bible: Everlasting Stories: 'Retold in an accessible, child-friendly manner...Christina Balit's rich and colourful illustrations are instantly enchanting and engaging.' - Junior Education 'Gracious, elegant, beautiful, delicate, enchanting...The text is clear, the illustrations are unique.' - Church of England Newspaper
LOIS ROCK has established an international reputation as a children's writer. Specialising in Bible stories, prayer books, and information books, her books have been translated into over 30 languages with sales approaching 4 million copies. She draws on her experience as a mother of three, and as a leader of church children's groups. Christina Balit is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. An acclaimed children's book artist, she has always longed to illustrate the Bible. She has received widespread praise for books including Blodin the Beast, Ishtar and Tammuz and The Twelve Labours of Hercules. Of British and Armenian descent, Christina spent her childhood years in the ancient lands of the Middle East --- the very landscapes where so many of the Bible's tales are set.
