Jonathan Valvano is a University of Texas at Austin Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 1981, he began teaching at the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering, as well as a doctorate in Medical Engineering from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. In the domains of embedded systems, biomedical instrumentation, and bio-heat transfer, he has produced 23 referred archival articles, 63 referred publications, and five book chapters.
