Flight of the King by C R Grey

Bailey usually looks forward to the holiday from study, but this year he can't wait to return to Fairmount Academy so he can spend more time with his Animas, the white tiger Taleth. After years apart, Bailey is eager to strengthen the tie that binds him to the majestic animal at long last.

But Viviana Melore, the Dominae's leader, has plans to visit the school on a goodwill tour that is everything but--and Bailey and Taleth are pushed apart for their own safety.

As the youngsters must tread carefully around Viviana and her army, Bailey and Hal flee to the Dust Plains after tragedy strikes, only to run right into the path of yet another deadly foe. Meanwhile, on the other side of Aldermere, Gwen is tasked with hiding the Seers' glass, a instrument that could expose dangerous parts of the prophesy if it fell into the wrong hands.

Bailey, his companions, and their kin embark on a desperate flight across the kingdom to defeat Viviana and the Dominae in the second novel in the Animas series, as new relationships are formed--and others are twisted beyond recognition.
