In the midst of all the wonderful experiences, great relationships, friendships- I experienced that feeling which always seemed to peek through. I call it the reoccurring feeling. I began to pay attention when it happened. I would ask myself- what was I going through when these feelings resurfaced? I realized it was my unresolved feelings about my experience with the molestation, every angle of it. It was confusing for me. There was my mother's husband, my mother and my sister and how we all were affected and existed. I would experience periods of depression and sadness. I felt afraid of something, as if I was running from something. It was easier to try and forget the past. After all I was functioning... I mean I was working, I had great relationships, and people loved me. That is what I would tell myself. However, It was like clock work. The past always came back. Through music, forgiveness, changing my perspective and grace, I healed. Sometimes people become bogged down by careers, relationships, children, finances, etc. and they cover up the pain. However, the pain doesn't disappear. Freedom is something that had felt unattainable for me. However, by changing my perspective; it has become my new way of life. I healed through music, I healed by always chosing love, I healed with the belief that I could be whatever it is I dreamed of, and I healed with Style and Grace. I encourage you to take a chance on truly living. Take a chance on you.

JAI HUDSON The point where style meets music and creativity meets vision is the place you can find Jai Hudson. Born in Brooklyn NY's BedStuy, Jai was raised in the 80s where being out of the box was celebrated. Motivated by creativity, she knew early on she had major artistic talent. Jai became a Celebrity fashion stylist at Chyna Doll Enterprises assisting Misa Hylton, providing image consulting and wardrobe for some of music's top recording artist and television personalities. Early on, Jai recognized her knack for developing upcoming artist and providing much needed artist development. After working for 7 years as a stylist she realized her niche was developing new talent. She secured a recording contract for Teyana Taylor with Startrak/ Interscope and produced the MTV my super sweet 16 show for Taylor, which became the most watched MTV sweet 16 to date. Where this industry thrives off of established artists, Jai loves to develop new talent from the beginning stages and provide the elements needed to establish the careers of budding talent. Jai has worked at Angela and Vanessa Simmons' Pastry line, helping to brand the sneaker company as a cool sneaker for the teenage demographics. In 2012 Jai partnered with Misa Hylton by creating and opening the first Fashion Styling academy in New York City, the Misa Hylton Fashion Academy. Where they provide the knowledge necessary for young fashion stylists to have a successful career in the business. Jai continues to design and provide impeccable styling services to some of music's top music artists. Superbowl 2015, Jai designed the racer outfit Missy Elliott wore in her worldwide performance with Katy Perry. She was also heavily involved with the style direction for Missy Elliott's new video after 10 years-W.T.F. Jai Hudson's expertise is in marketing, creative development, product management, and design has become her strengths in this industry. However, Jai loves to stay amongst the young generation recognizing early on that the children are truly our future. Jai now embarks on a new area of creativity through this literary work. Her passion to be heard is the driving force behind the creation of this book. She is already working on her follow up to Healed with Style & Grace-dealing with abuse from a male perspective.
