R. Theodore Theodore R. Sizer is the founding and emeritus chairman of the Coalition of Essential Schools, a national network of schools and institutes dedicated to school restructuring and redesign. He is the author of many works, including Horace's Compromise: The Dilemma of the American High School. He is a University Professor Emeritus at Brown University and a Visiting Professor of Education at Harvard University and Brandeis University.
