Kes Gray has been listed by The Independent as one of the Top Ten children's authors in the UK. In 2001, his first ever picture book surpassed JK Rowling to become overall winner of the prestigious Red House Children's Book Award. He has since become a three-times category winner and is the only author in the history of the Award to win prizes for both picture book and fiction story writing.

Lee Wildish got his start as a graphic designer for an advertising agency in Nottingham where he learned the ins and outs of graphics and corporate literature. He thoroughly enjoys illustrating children's books. In his opinion, there is nothing more warming than seeing people enjoying and laughing at a published book that you have illustrated.
