Laura Thompson is a writer and freelance journalist whose first novel, The Dogs, earned the Somerset Maugham Award. She is also the author of Living in a Cold Climate, a highly praised biography of Nancy Mitford, as well as The Six: The Lives of the Mitford Sisters, a New York Times bestseller, and Agatha Christie: A Mysterious Life.
