Harold Jones has worked as an elementary, middle school, and high school math and science teacher. He became a teacher educator at the university level after a career in K-12 teaching. He has teaching expertise in both rural and urban settings. He gained firsthand knowledge with aboriginal Indians while working with the Santee Sioux for a year. He became particularly interested in interpreting cognitive psychology as a basis for teaching approaches throughout his undergraduate work, which is the impetus for this book.
