Helen Simonson was born in England and spent her adolescence in a small East Sussex village. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics who has lived in the United States for the past three decades and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Simonson is the author of the New York Times bestselling debut novel Major Pettigrew's Final Stand and is married with two grown sons. This is the author's second book.
