After studying English at university, debut author Lloyd James decided to turn his hand to writing (whilst eating his favourite meal of beans on toast with a cold glass of milk). Alongside writing and collecting original book illustrations, Lloyd is a huge football fan and is never seen without his lucky Manchester Utd socks on match day. The Mighty Splash is Lloyd's first picture book, and what a splash it's making! Barbara grew up on a suburb of Budapest, next to a little forest, and can't remember a time when she wasn't drawing. She graduated as an animation director at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and started her career as an art director, character and background designer for the television and film industry. Barbara has a big passion for creating worlds with her characters and is now working as a full-time children's book illustrator.
