Brett McKee is the son of the renowned David McKee. He lives in Oxfordshire. Monsters Don't Cry! was inspired by his own two young sons. Ella Burfoot lives in Dorset. She studied at Falmouth College of Art, where she received both a BA and a distinction in her MA in Illustration. Prior to that she worked as a bookseller for Waterstones in Norwich for three years. She is currently leaving in Beaminster in Dorset with her partner and two small children.
