Monuments and Masterpieces by Donald Martin Reynolds
Fletcher the Fly goes on a grand adventure and discovers that while not everyone is tolerant of flies, there are good-hearted people in the world who truly earn the privilege of friendship. Fletcher the Fly is aimed at a first grade and younger reading level. The repetition of the name makes it easy to follow, and the rhythm of the stanzas make the book fun to read again and again. The illustrations are so impressive that children will pick this book as their bedtime story for quite a long time. Children that are read to by others grow up with an exceptional ability to read, a bigger vocabulary, as well as a love of reading and learning.Donald Martin Reynolds is an art historian, consultant, and the author of numerous books, articles, and reviews on American art and architecture. He taught at Columbia University in New York City from 1970 to 2003. He was consultant to the Kemper Foundation. Dr. Reynolds is the recipient of ArtWatch International's Frank Mason Prize, 2012, and in 2016, he was awarded the Paderewski Medal for his book on Andrew Pitynski. In 2018, he was elected a Member Emeritus of The National Sculpture Society and in 2020 he was awarded the Society's 2020 Sculpture House Award.
