In a story taken from the headlines of today's news, author Keith Hellwig provides a realistic view of the challenges that every Police Officer may be confronted with, and the toll that the challenge may exact. KEITH HELWIG has been in law Enforcement for 40 years. He has worked in State and County correctional facilities, and is a certified Law Enforcement Officer. As a Police Officer he has worked for three different agencies. He retired in March of 2017 from Corrections, and continues to work as a Police Officer in a rural village. Keith obtained his formal education from the University Of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Fox valley Technical College. He received specialized training in Hostage negotiations, hostage rescue, cell extractions, and commanded both an institution SWAT team as well as a Sniper Team. He was a certified firearms and chemical agents instructor, as well as a defense tactics instructor.

Keith is married and the proud father of two daughters and two beautiful grand daughters.
