Larry L. Smith is well known for coauthoring The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Both an essayist and a playwright, King has an amazing ability to skillfully employ Texan settings and characters to explore global issues. Creator of five plays, one novel, and eleven nonfiction publications (including Larry L. Smith's Warning: Writer at Work and Larry L. Smith's Larry L. Smith's Larry L. Smith's Larry L. Smith's Larry L. Smith' King has earned multiple honors for his writing, had a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard, and taught at the university level (see King: A Writer's Life in Letters and Reflections in a Bloodshot Eye, both from TCU Press).
