The Oxford Paperback French Dictionary by Michael Janes

This dictionary is designed for English and French students, holiday makers and business people. It contains 45,000 words and phrases (including some slang and technical jargon), lists of regular and irregular French verbs and past tenses and participles of irregular English verbs. The dictionary also guides the user in the pronunciation of all the words, as well as giving labels to help him in the choice of the appropriate word or idiomatic expression.
Author Michael Janes is a sixth-generation descendant of Thomas Greg of Belfast, an 18th century pioneer of merchant shipping and international trading. He is also a Cambridge history graduate. Michael spent several years researching a comprehensive history of the Gregs and their businesses in the UK and overseas from the end of the 17th century through to the 20th before approaching Memoirs Books to edit and publish the manuscript.
