Assocate Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois where she teaches graduate level courses in Pediatric and Adult Dysphagia. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University and her doctoral degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois. She completed post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago where she was involved in pediatric and adult dysphagia research and therapy. She is currently the director of the Pediatric and Adult Dysphagia Clinic at Northern Illinois University.
