Claire Thomas is the mother of two multilingual children herself. She was a founding member of the Waltham Forest Bilingual Group and served as the group's Secretary for eight years. She has assisted in the design and facilitation of a variety of parent programs, and she has spoken with hundreds of parents on bilingual family decisions and problems. The Waltham Forest Bilingual Group is a small, all-volunteer community of bilingual parents.
