Alan Sinfield is a professor at Sussex University's English Department. He is the author of several works, including Out on Stage: Lesbian and Gay Theatre in the Twentieth Century and The Wilde Century: Effeminacy, Oscar Wilde, and the Queer Present. He resides in Brighton, England.
