Sloane Leong, a self-taught cartoonist, artist, and writer of Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Native American, and European ancestry, is a self-taught cartoonist, artist, and writer of Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Native American, and European ancestry. She writes in genres like science fiction, horror, adventure, and slice-of-life to explore topics like survival, displacement, relationships, spirituality, identity, and mental illness. Her work attempts to connect with people on a human level through storytelling in order to foster a kinder, more understanding future. She's been self-publishing comics since she was 16 and has worked with Image Comics, First Second, Top Cow, Cartoon Network, DC, Dark Horse, and Boom! Studios, among others. A Map to the Sun and Prism Stalker are two recent efforts. She currently resides in the Portland, Oregon area.
