Prophet Muhammad and His Miracles by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi

Prominet scholars of Islam say that the evidences of Muhammad's prophethood and his miracles amount to about 1000. Countless people have affirmed it in their own particular ways, and the Qur'an itself provides thousands of such proofs. This book by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi talsk about some of the extraordinary incidents that happened at the time of prophet Muhammad in support of his divine mission, that is, calling people to Islam.

Bediuzzaman Said Nursi was born in 1873 in the village of Nurs in eastern Anatolia, where he was given the name Nursi. He acquired his basic education from the district's most well-known professors. His outstanding brilliance and aptitude to learn, which he demonstrated at a young age, made him famous among his professors, colleagues, and the general public. He silenced the prominent experts who had asked him to a discussion when he was sixteen years old (debate was then a fashionable activity among scholars). This happened numerous more times with various groups of intellectuals, and he was dubbed Bediuzzaman (Wonder of the Age) as a result.

His education prepared the way for the idea that, at a time when the world was approaching a new and different era, where science and reasoning would rule, the classical educational system of theology would not be enough to dispel questions about the Qur'an and Islam. He came to the conclusion that religious sciences should be taught in modern schools, while modern sciences should be taught in religious schools. The people of the school would be safeguarded from unbelief, and those of the madrasa will be protected from extremism, he said. On the morning of March 23, 1960, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi departed this world with perfect honor, dignity, and victory, leaving behind him the Risale-i Nur Collection that would illuminate this and future centuries, as well as a love that would be passed down from generation to generation till eternity.
